Yesterday, The Great Roy Halladay was bludgeoned by the Atlanta Braves, surrendering eight earned runs en route to a 15-13 loss.
Today, The Perfectly Average Joe Blanton shut down that same Braves offense, tossing a complete game shutout for a 4-0 Phillies win. He gave up just three singles, walked none, struck out six, and somehow finished all nine innings on just 88 pitches.
Yeah, that makes sense.
